For the effective implementation of Rural Water Supply programme availability of basic information is an essential pre-requisite. Assam Public Health Engineering Department has been conducting a fresh survey for  ascertaining the water supply status in the rural habitations and rural schools in the state of Assam. During the survey the quality affected habitations will also be ascertained and the work is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
